Reminders

Summer Opportunity
We are excited to share the attached poster for our Suzuki Summer Chamber Group at the Manchester Community Music School. It's a great way to keep students playing their string instrument through the summer with a very low time commitment at a low cost. Tuition assistance is available if need arises.
From Mrs. Pleat’s Desk…
This month, students will learn that many things in life require patience. Whether it be  for our turn, waiting to speak or waiting for something to happen, we need to understand that we can’t always get what we want right away. In today’s world of technology and instant gratification, children are less apt to have the skill of patience and waiting. Children without patience and the ability to wait have greater difficulty powering through difficult tasks. Patience is therefore linked with last month’s message about perseverance, since not giving up requires us to be patient and wait for the results. We can teach patience to children by regularly creating situations where they have to wait. Through practice, the important life skill of patience can be developed.

2019-20 School Calendar
The School Board has approved the 2019-20 School Calendar. Please note The first day for students will be August 27th and the last day of school will be June 12.  In the event of snow days, the first 5 we have will not be made up so unless we have 6 or more snow days we will be no later than June 12.   This should bring some more predictability to the end of the year for families.
