Words of the Month: Honesty and Patience

Week of May 22:
May 24: Phrase of the Day: “Have patience with all things, especially with yourself.”  It is important to be patient with ourselves when something is difficult, or when we make a mistake.  We need to remind ourselves that everyone makes mistakes and they are for learning.  Peacemaker Challenge: Be patient with yourself, next time you make a mistake.  Erase your mistake and try again.  Remind yourself that things are hard when we are first learning them, but they get easier, if we just keep trying.

Words of the Month: Honesty and Patience

Week of May 15: Patience
May 17: Patience means we wait.  We need to wait our turn, and wait until others are done speaking before we speak.  We also need to wait for things to happen.
Peacemaker Challenge: Pay attention to the times you need to be PATIENT during the day...and BE PATIENT.  The sooner you learn to be PATIENT, the happier you’ll be!

May 19: Phrase of the Day: “Have patience. All things are difficult before they become easy.”  When we are learning something new, it is often difficult. But if we persevere and have patience, sooner or later it will become easier to do. Peacemaker Challenge: Keep trying and be patient when something is hard.  Remind yourself of the phrase for the day.

Bedford Food Pantry – Items Needed for Children
Food Insecurity is a growing concern across the nation and right here in our own backyard.  Nearly 350 adults and children in Bedford qualify for food stamps and more than 167 families in Bedford meet the income standards for the government’s free school lunch program.
In light of these numbers, the Bedford Food Pantry has started a new program, School Lunch Plus, to provide students in Bedford who face food insecurity two lunches each weekend (with complete privacy/anonymity).  In order to provide two lunches for each student in need, the Food Pantry is looking for donations of these specific items.
If you are able to donate these items (these are ongoing donations), please bring them by the Bedford Food Pantry at the Bedford Presbyterian Church, 4 Church Road, Bedford, NH.
Parents/guardians, please contact the school guidance counselor or school nurse if you would like your child to participate in this program.
