Happy Holidays
This last week leading up to our holiday break is full of excitement.  It is so much fun to see the kids each day in a true holiday spirit.  Staff and kids are a bit more relaxed and people are genuinely happy to be together.  We hope you all enjoy the time off with your family and friends.

The Bedford PTG Would Like To Wish You And Your Family A Safe And Happy Winter Break!

COFFEE AND CONVERSATION with Interim Superintendent Mike Fournier:  Hosted by the PTG, Interim Superintendent Mike Fournier invites you to “Coffee and Conversation”, Tuesday, January 8th, 6:30PM at Bedford Town Library (Richmond Meeting Room)…LIMITED SEATING-RSVP REQUIRED.
This will be a small, informal gathering to discuss Bedford School District happenings.
In order to be more interactive and personal, seating is limited so you must RSVP here… Coffee&ConversationSignUp if you wish to attend.
This will be a discussion based gathering, so questions and comments will be encouraged.
Additional get-togethers with Mr. Fournier will take place throughout the school year if you are unable to attend or seats are no longer available.

HANNAFORD HELPS REUSEABLE BAG PROGRAM: Hannaford on Jenkins Road has chosen Bedford PTG to be the beneficiary of the Community Bag program in December. For every green Community reusable bag purchased at Hannaford, on JENKINS ROAD, in December, the PTG will receive a $1.00 donation.

FAMILY EVNETS COMING IN JANUARY:  Principal Winter Reading Night Thursday, January 24th. Barnes and Noble Days January 25th - 27thStay tuned for more details!

Support for the BHS Swim Team 
Bedford High School swim team will be hosting a movie night this evening from 7-9 pm in the high school theater. "Elf" will be the movie. There is a $3 admission fee and bake sale. This is open to all.

Adopt-A-Family Outreach Program
Once again, we are so pleased with the many individuals came through in order to assist  our families in need during this holiday season.  We do not take for granted how fortunate we are to work in such a caring community.  The wish lists for all of our families have now been completed. Thank you all very much!





















Food Drive
Our annual "Stuff the Turkey" Food Drive was a HUGE success. Proceeds will go directly to the Bedford Community Food Pantry at Bedford Presbyterian Church. As with our Adopt-A-Family Program the generosity in this community is amazing. We can't thank you all enough for your contributions. These generous acts are teaching our children incredible lessons about caring for others.

Ellis Island Day was last Friday
Ellis Island day was the culminating activity for the fourth grade studies on immigration. Last Friday, students dressed up, made passports and experienced a simulation of what it was like to go through immigration.
Here is a movie of the event (no sound). More pictures and the mannequin challenge video are coming!

Adopt-A-Family Outreach Program
We thank you for the tremendous response for our families in need during this holiday season.  The wish lists for several of our families have been completed. However, there are some families that still need our support. Please click on this link to see how you can still contribute to make the holidays extra special for our families in need.

Please remember to wrap gifts and drop them off to the Memorial School Front Office, with a gift tag(s) marked with item you signed up for and family number, by Monday, December 17th.

BHS Key Club: Gingerbread House Extravaganza Fundraiser
Come celebrate the holiday season at BHS Key Club’s town-wide Gingerbread House Extravaganza fundraiser! Design, create and decorate your very own gingerbread house. Amidst the fun, you can help out families in need by dropping off a much-appreciated monetary donation as the entrance fee for Make a Wish Foundation. Help us spread happiness, and come enjoy the holidays with your family and friends on the evening of Friday, December 7th. For more information, please check out THIS FLYER.


Food Drive
Our annual "Stuff the Turkey" Food Drive continues until December 14th.  Proceeds will go directly to the Bedford Community Food Pantry at Bedford Presbyterian Church. We greatly appreciate any canned or boxed donations you are able to give. Items such as canned proteins (meats, fish, vegetables, etc.), pasta, rice, peanut butter, jelly, rice, flour, sugar and cereal, are especially needed. If you would like to join us in helping our Bedford pantry, please send the items into school with your child. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Pleat, X-23206. Thanks for helping us support Bedford families!

COLOR BLAST FUN RUN OPPORTUNITY: It’s not too late to get involved with planning this Colorful community event. Our first planning meeting will be Tuesday, December 11th , 9:00am  at McKelvie. Please email bedfordnhptg@gmail.com for more information, or simply join us on the 11th.
STAND BY ME COMMITTEE:  PTG is proud to sponsor Stand By Me , a day-long workshop event for all 7th grade students and their parents to be held May 31st, 2019 at SNHU. The parent committee is instrumental in organizing this program. If you are interested in finding out more about Stand By Me or would like to join the committee, contact Lurgio’s Guidance Secretary, Beth Fitzgerald or simply come to the next meeting on December 13th 9:30am, at Lurgio. You do NOT need to have a 7th grader to participate on the committee or as a volunteer for the event.
