4th Grade Musical
Congratulations to the students, staff, volunteers who helped make this year’s performance so successful.

Reading Materials
After many years of successful implementation of the Reading Streets Reading Program our Kindergarten classes at Memorial are going to be moving on to Reading Wonders program in the 18-19 school year. In order to make room for our new Reading Wonders materials we are taking Reading Street materials out of our kindergarten classrooms. If anyone is interested in having any Kindergarten Reading Streets Materials for home use with their student these materials are available for you to have. Simply let your child's teacher know and they will be sent home on the last day of school.

High School Seniors Visit Memorial
Our 4 year old BEEP class showed their excitement as the High School seniors arrived to visit Memorial this past Wednesday. Staff enjoyed seeing their former students and hearing about their future plans. We wish all the graduates the very best.

Brain Message: I Got This!

From the Counselor’s Desk...
This month, we will review our lessons of the year, about peace and growth mindset. Students will learn that it takes courage to have a growth mindset. It takes courage to try new and challenging things, to take risks in our learning, and to be willing to fail. It takes courage to struggle and to stay in the struggle, until we reach success. And, it takes courage to admit our mistakes and learn from them. Study after study on grit and growth mindset have concluded that teaching students these traits, and praising them for their hard work and perseverance, rather than the finished product, builds resilience and profoundly impacts achievement. When students understand that struggle, mistakes, challenges and failure are the fabric of learning and growing their brains...they got this!
