Principal's Notes 1-5-18

Principal’s Notes

January  Messages
Peace Message: Tolerance
Brain Message: I am a valued member of the Memorial Family

From the Counselor's Desk
For the month of January, announcements and classroom visits will focus on Tolerance, the concept of valuing all people and treating them with respect.  Students will be encouraged to not only learn to accept differences, but to understand that differences are what make us all unique and valuable.  Students will be challenged to look within themselves and others, to discover the uniqueness and “wonder” of each person.  The Brain Message will reinforce the Peace Message, reminding students that they are ALL valuable members of our school community.

Planning Ahead...
As you look forward to making appointments for your children please keep in mind that our required NH State testing will be taking place during the months of April and May for our 3rd and 4th graders.  Our 3rd graders will begin testing in Language Arts during the week of April 9th and then again the week of May 7th for Math.  Our 4th graders will be testing during the first weeks of May.
Thank you in advance for your efforts to have your children present, well rested and with a good breakfast during these testing times.
Also...
Yesterday marks the 4th snow day we have had this year.  With these four days our tentative last day of school is now Tuesday June 19th.
