Hour of Code
Hour of Code is an annual worldwide event that allows students to try out coding for an hour and to show that everyone can learn the basics of computer coding. This week we began the Hour of Code in Memorial School. Each class in Memorial, from K-4, will be taking part in this experience at some point during the next 2 weeks.
If you'd like to try an Hour of Code at home you can go to https://hourofcode.com/us/learn to choose an activity.

Grade 4 Ellis Island Reenactment
Mrs. Schmitt and our fourth grade teachers provided an Ellis Island experience for our fourth graders on Thursday.  Students dressed the part and were able to get a taste of what their ancestors went through upon entering America.  Thanks to all the volunteers who assisted to make this such a worthwhile experience.

Bedford High School Key Club: Gingerbread House Extravaganza Fundraiser
Come celebrate the holiday season at BHS Key Club’s town-wide Gingerbread House Extravaganza fundraiser! Design, create, and decorate your very own gingerbread house. Amidst the fun, you can help out families in need after the devastation of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico by dropping off a much-appreciated monetary donation as the entrance fee. Help us spread happiness and come enjoy the holidays with your family and friends on the evening of Friday, December 15th. For more info, check out our flyer!"

They are providing a free room, and allowing you to bring your own snacks.  The snack must be peanut free.
