NEW NEWS

Guidance Messages
Week of March 21:
March 22: Phrases of the Day: “ The expert in anything was once a beginner.” and  “If you fall, get up and try again.”  Even famous football players were not good at it when they just started.  To be good at something, we must practice and keep trying.

March 25: Phrase of the Day: “You may never make a discovery if you are afraid to make a mistake. Only those who do nothing make no mistakes.   Thomas Edison is said to have made 1000 mistakes before inventing the light bulb.  Each mistake helped him learn what he needed to change and brought him closer to his discovery.  Mistakes are for learning.

Spirit Day - Wednesday, March 23rd
Please help your children show their spirit by dressing like a teacher for the day. Teachers will be dressing like students!

Smarter Balanced Testing - Grade 3 Parents
Grade 3 students start state testing on the morning of Thursday, March 24th. Please make sure they get a good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast and are at school on time. We are all encouraging your child to do their best and we appreciate your help and support.

REMINDERS

Health Message - Important
From School Nurse, Rachel Higgins:
I've seen many children with nausea, vomiting and fevers this week. Please make sure that your child is symptom free before returning to school. Fever free means without the use of medication.
It is also important that you report any infections to the school nurse. If your child is diagnosed with a streptococcal infection, I need to be made aware. I have several children and families that I need to inform because of health issues.
Spring seems to have arrived early. If your child suffers from spring time allergies it is time to start their allergy medication if you haven't done so.

Community Enrichment Program
The Community Enrichment Program of the Bedford School District offers evening adult enrichment courses to the Bedford Community. Our Spring Courses are now listed and we are offering Conversational Italian for Beginners as well as our popular Ceramics and Photography. Click here to view our course descriptions.
We are always looking for new instructors! If you have a skill or interest that you would like to share please contact the program’s Coordinator, Susan Sambrano by email : sambranos@sau25.net  or by phone: 603-714-4395.
